GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (hereinafter the “GTC”) govern the relationship between the company THE LINE, a simplified joint-stock company with a share capital of €1,000, registered with the Trade and Companies Register of Marseille under number 813 548 948, with its registered office at 13 rue Plan Fourmiguier, and its consumer customers (hereinafter referred to as the “Customers”).

THE LINE operates in wall decoration and offers the design, publishing, and sale of wall artworks made of continuous-line cut steel (hereinafter the “Products”).
THE LINE and the Customer are hereinafter collectively referred to as the “Parties” or individually as a “Party,” without joint liability.
1. SCOPE
These GTC apply to all orders of Products supplied by THE LINE made by a consumer or non-professional Customer, as defined in the preliminary article of the French Consumer Code, via the website accessible at www.theline.fr (hereinafter the “Website”).
Any order implies full acceptance of these GTC.
The Customer acknowledges having read this document and accepts all its terms, as well as all information referred to in Articles L.111-1 to L.111-8 of the French Consumer Code.
THE LINE may modify the Website and these GTC at any time.
In the case of an online order, the applicable GTC are those available online on the date of the order.
2. ORDER
Customers wishing to purchase Products offered by THE LINE, after reviewing the applicable prices, may:
i) purchase Products on the Website,
ii) submit a purchase order specifying the Product type, reference, quantities, price, delivery and billing address via email to [email protected],
iii) validate a quotation issued by THE LINE.
The order becomes final only after acceptance by THE LINE, confirmed in writing and upon receipt of payment by bank transfer.
In accordance with Article L121-20-3 of the French Consumer Code, in case of Product unavailability, the Customer may:
- cancel the order and obtain a refund within fifteen (15) days if already paid (including shipping costs if the entire order is unavailable), or
- cancel the order in progress without compensation.
3. PRICES AND PAYMENT TERMS
Products are sold at the prices in force on the day of order validation, as indicated on the quotation, price list, or Website.
Prices are in euros (€), all taxes included, excluding shipping, packaging, insurance, or other additional costs unless otherwise stated.
THE LINE reserves the right to change its prices at any time. Changes apply only to orders placed after the update.
Payment is due at the time of order.
The Customer is responsible for all applicable taxes, especially for deliveries outside France.
Payment methods include:
- Credit card (CB, Visa, Eurocard, Mastercard)
- PayPal
- Apple Pay
- Bank transfer
Payments are processed securely. THE LINE does not store banking data.
4. DELIVERY
Products are delivered by post worldwide.
The Customer must provide accurate delivery information. Any additional costs due to incorrect information will be borne by the Customer.
Orders may be delivered in multiple shipments depending on size. Additional shipping costs in such cases are covered by THE LINE.
Orders are typically processed within 4 to 15 business days. Delivery times include preparation and shipping.
THE LINE is not responsible for delays beyond its control.
Delivery times are indicative unless otherwise agreed. Reasonable delays do not justify cancellation or compensation.
5. RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL
In accordance with applicable law, the Customer has a fourteen (14) day withdrawal period from receipt of the Products without justification.
If the period ends on a weekend or holiday, it is extended to the next working day.
To exercise this right, the Customer must notify THE LINE by clear statement or via the withdrawal form sent with the order confirmation at: [email protected]
The Customer must return the Products within fourteen (14) days in perfect condition with a copy of the invoice.

Return shipping costs are borne by the Customer.
Refunds are issued within fourteen (14) days after receipt of returned Products, using the original payment method.
6. LEGAL WARRANTIES
THE LINE guarantees Product conformity with the order.
Products benefit from:
- Legal guarantee of conformity (Articles L.217-3 et seq.)
- Warranty against hidden defects (Articles 1641–1648 of the Civil Code)
1/ Legal conformity warranty
- Valid for 2 years from delivery
- Customer may keep defective product and receive a 30% refund
- No need to prove defect within 2 years
- Repairs extend warranty by 6 months
2/ Hidden defects warranty
Customer may:
- cancel the sale, or
- request a price reduction
Exclusions: improper use, handling, storage, or transport.
7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
THE LINE is only liable for direct damages resulting from contractual breach.
Indirect damages (loss of profit, data, revenue, image, etc.) are excluded.
Total liability is capped at the amount paid for the order.
8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
THE LINE retains all intellectual property rights on Products.
The Customer may not reproduce, copy, modify, distribute, or commercially exploit Products.
Violations may result in civil and criminal liability.
9. PERSONAL DATA
THE LINE complies with GDPR and French data protection laws.
Data is processed to:
- fulfill contractual obligations
- process orders and invoices
- manage customer relationships
Customers have rights of access, rectification, deletion, limitation, objection, and portability.
Complaints may be filed with the CNIL.

10. FORCE MAJEURE
Force majeure events suspend obligations.
If lasting more than 30 days, either Party may terminate the contract without compensation.
11. WAIVER
Failure to enforce a clause does not constitute waiver of future enforcement.
12. PARTIAL INVALIDITY
If any provision is invalid, the remaining provisions remain in force.
13. MEDIATION
Customers may use a consumer mediator free of charge.
After prior written complaint to THE LINE, mediation may be initiated if unresolved.

14. APPLICABLE LAW AND JURISDICTION
These GTC are governed by French law.
Disputes fall under the jurisdiction of competent consumer courts.
