Famous for its parties, beaches and landscapes, Ibiza is the largest of the Pityusic islands and one of the four inhabited islands in the Balearics. 37,000 tourists visited Ibiza in 1960, while in summer 2010, the island had 2.4 million visitors. The oldest language still spoken in Ibiza is Catalan. It has the world’s greatest concentration of nightclubs. The most famous and longest-standing are Pacha, Privilege, Amnesia, Eden and Space. The legendary club DC10, located at the end of the airport runway in the San José municipality, only opens on Mondays. The white wagtail and blackbird are year-round island residents, bringing cheer to local gardens. Two films by director Barbet Schröder take place in Ibiza: “More” (1969), which is set in the hippy period, and “Amnesia” (2015) which takes place in modern Ibiza.

Manufacturing

Drawing
Through a single stroke, The Line represents panoramas of cities, legendary mountain tops, or even mythical music tracks visually represented by their soundwaves.
Cutting
Lines are laser cut from metal sheets, with an extreme accuracy. This step is carried out in France by several partners, including a cooperative company.
Gilding
Lines are gilded with 24-carat gold via an electrolysis process ensuring agglomeration of gold on the line.
Boxes and silkscreen
Despite significant production volumes, The Line keeps an artisanal manufacturing approach for its packaging, and uses a silkscreen process to guarantee an original and qualitative result.
Packing
Final packing of products is then carried out within ESATs (work-based learning centers dedicated to people with disabilities).
